Bath Divers in the Isle of Skye 2025

In July 2025, Henry Turner and I organised a club trip to Skye. As a Scot myself, and with this being the first trip I’d organised somewhere remote in Scotland, it felt especially fitting. After a long drive along winding roads, we finally arrived in Lochbay. With no signal, the area proved to be the detox we all needed.

The weather was perfectly Scottish, rainy, of course, but that didn’t take away from the amazing diving. The sea was full of life and colour, with lots of fish, nudibranchs, and even a flatfish. Some lucky souls even spotted an octopus…still not over not seeing it! There were also plenty of scallops, which sorted starters for tea every night!

A big thank you to the amazing group of divers for bringing such good energy and stories to the trip. And of course, a huge thank you to Aileen, an amazing host, and Gordon, a hugely knowledgeable diver, skipper, and host. And, naturally, the dogs too!
